Credit Card Bonuses Become Harder to Earn

Although it may seem easier than ever to find a credit card that has many bonuses, but it’s also becoming a bit harder to obtain those cards.

While there’s an amazing sign-on bonus with a card, you might also have to plunge $3,000 into debt to get that bonus. During the financial crisis, the huge leap in bonuses juxtaposed with the larger amounts that need to be spent developed. Credit card companies have one goal in mind: finding ways to get spenders to spend a whole lot more.

Before the crisis, it used to be harder to find bonuses on credit cards–they were fewer and farther between. Now, though, it’s a whole lot simpler to come across them! It’s just harder to get them since people with too many applications out may get rejected and bonuses are often limited to new customers.
